I have installed CL 2.0.1 and am very pleased.

I'm not sure how to upload multiple files - the windows utility gives me an error saying I don't have permissions to view the page, and there is no way to select multiple files from within the browser. In fact the whole uploading process is a little confusing, and I'm a little worried the average non-tech user will find this easy.

Is there something I need to be setting on the backend to facilitate the Windows utility?

Upgrade to e107 v0.79 and CL Gallery v2.03b
You'll see "Windows Publish .reg" link on both user's album edit page (front-end) and administration area (menu item). You have to download and install (execute) the .reg file.

Hi SecretR,

Was at 0.7.9 already so I just grabbed the beta. Upload is working well.

However, still trying to figure out the permissions. First, user created galleries will never activate even from the gallery menu as the administrator. If I go into the database and force set it, it will work.

2nd, what should I set for permissions if I want the user to be able to create the gallery and upload to it without requiring gallery approval?

Here are the ones that are probably relevant
user albums mgmt perms: members
user albums create perms: members
enable created album admin approval - unchecked
enable uploaded picture approval - unchecked
user album visibility: everyone
gallery assign permissions: members

let me know if there's something more you need.

Hi SecretR,

The exact message is "You don't have the correct permissions to view this page." This is in the upload utility. It works great if the account I use is an administrator's account. I can't really open up my site until I figure this out.

What page is it referring to? I have tried a combination of settings and it hasn't made any difference. I've taken a very cursory look through the php and seen a reference to if !admin in one, but it'd take me a while to figure out how they all go together.

Thank you again.

Ok, thanks for your report.
It was a bug (I thought already fixed). I'll try to post a new version today.

Is this in 2.0.4 beta that got posted? I have grabbed it and installed, but it still seems to be giving that same error.

Did you read the Changelog?
5. Bugfix - admin permissions bug - the required permissions for (non-main) administrators are 'Administrators -> Plugin - Corllete Lab Gallery' (plugin access) and 'Administrators -> Upload /manage files' (admin upload, approve, picture actions)

Hi SecretR, thought I responded but guess not. Anyway, the problem is not for administrators. No regular users can upload, regardless of what permissions I've set, using the XP utility. They can upload pictures through the web interface.
