I'd like a Menu (Navigation) on the left side of my site, that has menu items different then those from the top sitelinks menu.

PHPNuke had a menu module called Sommaire, but the guy is nowhere to seen.

Similar to the Navigation menu found here Navigation on left side.

Anybody know how to do it, have a plugin, or wanna write one?

Just create links with Render type e.g. 2 and add { SITELINKS=flat:2 } somewhere in your theme.php or in custom menu.
However it can be released as a plugin. I like the idea. Check our site frequently and it's highly possible to meet this in our download area :)

I couldn't wait, and I'm a relative n00b when it comes to coding atleast... when I put your

{ SITELINKS=flat:2 }

in my theme.php (im using your fs_16), I get

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=' in /usr/local/site/os/host/cardstuff.com/httpdocs/ e107/e107_themes/fs_16/theme.php on line 422

(edited some stuff ^^)

{SITELINKS=flat:2} must be in a string
meaning between " and "
eg.

$HEADER = " here's some html, 
with the second menu
{SITELINKS=flat:2} 
 
more html
";
